That infernal Sony PS Startup Beep…

…for years was my arch enemy when trying to sneak in a game without my roommate hearing and responding to it in some kind of Pavlovian manner…..it’s my enemy no longer! I was going through some settings on my PS5 console earlier and, to my complete delight, I found a setting that allows you to mute the beep! Please tell me this is a relatively new feature and that I’ve not simply overlooked it for 3 decades.

They just added a system software update to mute the start up beep a few months ago
