New Event Question

Why can I not use Josh Donaldson(Bringer of Rain) in my line up?
Blue jays were a wildcard team and I have the option of using Vlad Jr, Delgado’s GR8 race card, Chapman(Always Intense)
They are all blue jays some current and one is a legend
But Bringer of rain is not an option?
I’m so confused- would love if someone can tell me why or if I’m just being dumb.

Because he's a set 2 card? I haven't looked at the event, but since it's an online game, it stands to reason the cards need to be season 4 eligible. Have you tried him as a wildcard?

Edit: I looked at the event rules, and the cards are restricted to Postseason, 2023 Postseason, and Live series cards. That's why Bringer of Rain won't work. -

Was last event like this also? Because I could’ve sworn I used monthly award cards that wasn’t from set 3 or 4

It's not the set. It's because it doesn't belong to the correct series for the event.

The blue jays were a WC team and I can use HRD Vlad Jr, GR8 Race Delgado, incognito Chapman which are all Blue jay cards and from different series

lol what? I think you were right before it’s set restricted
Bc bringer of rain is the same series card as Chapman’s “always intense” card
They are both blue jay cards and both incognito cards- you cant use Donaldson(set 2)
But you can use Chapman(set 4)
Bringer of rain fits the “series” but not the set I’m assuming.
And it’s not becuse Chapman is a current player bc I can use Delgado’s card and he’s not a current player

Yea I just got home and looked at it- like I said you were right the first time. But this statement is incorrect
It’s set restricted… all the cards I can choose from are set 3 set 4 or core.
Donaldson fits the series(WC team)
But he’s enligbe due to set restrictions
Which sds didn’t make clear in the rules for the event- which is why I was confused
