This is not a complaining post or anything. I am just generally curious if people are still having fun?

I streamed 3 hours today (Wes_Hill1 on twitch if anyone is interested) and played over the weekend and I am still 50% on each Team Affinitiy, I know someone is going to say its not supposed to be completed 1 weekend, but after doing 3 other ones, I want it done asap so i dont have to look at it anymore.

After 2/half hours of grinding vs cpu I used 75k to try again to pull Trout. I've opened now 6 Chase packs and only pulled Purple Diamonds. IDK why they refuse to give us the actual numbers on odds. I've figured its 97% Purple, 2% 90+, 1% Trout.

I then played a Ranked game, guy hit early homer, and for whatever reason Griffey let the ball roll right past him to allow2 runs to score.

MLB the show used ot be my favorite game series, and for years streaming it has been a dream of mine, but the 2nd half of 23 isn't fun. Doing the same thing over and over has become stale.

I have really been considering buy NBA 2k, just to mix it up. I just want my favorite game to become fun again.

I am, but I stay away from the parts I don't like (except opening packs - that's a necessary evil). No online, showdowns, mini-seasons (which are okay, but I feel they are a waste of my time), or events.

I have eight conquest maps to finish, TA3, TA4, and the August MA - so I have a lot to do...so yeah, still having fun.

Give Franchise or MTO a shot. Franchise can be more challenging than MTO (depending on how involved you get with your team), but they are both fun modes.

I typically play one game a year. For years, it was Madden. The year that The Show came to Xbox (21), I decided this would be my game.

Been playing The Show now for 3 years. In that time, it has become increasingly a steep uphill grind. Like a job type grinding. That is nowhere near fun.

It is still early in the Madden season. I am strongly considering going back and making that my game.

This makes sense. I haven't played 2k since 21 and that is why i'm thinking of trying it out.
MLB is to the point were i've done the same thing over and over, I just don't have the desire to do it anymore.

I wish the devs would actually take a poll of who enjoys content vs not.

They just did a survey for S3. That was the perfect place to give them your input. I'm sure they'll do one for S4 too.

But - there are a lot of text boxes in the surveys to add your comments for the different areas of the game.

If they cared or took my opinions that would have to make a completely new game and of course that would require effort haha

Hey bud. There is no need for a survey. All you need to do is read everyone's response to set 4 release and they would know how the majority feels about this game now.

Very true. All I was saying was that they did ask for input. They are getting a ton of early input on S4, whether they like it or not.

I have grown to hate the TA's. It's is so boring. Load up a team and play the Tigers. A's, Royals, Pirates or Nationals on Rookie and score 40 runs a game and get your stats. Rinse, Lather and Repeat. I'm not washing my hair for goodness sakes. I'm pulling it out now.

I haven't done any of the missions or moments for TA3 yet, and I have all of them over half done. This is due to MTO, conquest, and the repeatables. Once I really get into them, They'll go fast for me.

I’m still playing. I absolutely hate football and basketball games these days. If that’s what you like then go for it. My suggestion to break up the grind would be a non-sports title.

The game design this year isn't conducive to 'fun'. Normally I don't mind a good grind, just pop on some music, a movie, audiobook, etc. and I'll eventually get through it. But this year the grind really doesn't stop (exception - when they just disappear for 2 weeks during a season). Even with this setup I'd still probably be ok with the massive grind, the problem is that the rewards are mid as can be, and only useful to collect for the cards we really want. So grind a lot for 1-2 great cards, or grind a ton for 3. Repeat every 8 weeks. And I do mean repeat, every TA has been the same.

I keep going back to memories of '21. TA that year was so good. The actual team rewards were fantastic, tons of packs & stubs. There was none of this 97 all year nonsense, none of these cards that won't ever see the light of day after their missions are done.

I'm only still playing for the programs I do enjoy, namely POTM. I still like conquest, though I think they really should add auto complete of the map once all the strongholds are taken. But then, even in CQ the pack rewards have been lackluster compared to prior years.

The real reason for all the game's shortcomings this year is the increased focus and push for more microtransactions. Games never get better when that becomes the main goal of the developers. And unless this game is a financial loser for SDS it's only going to get worse going forward. You don't just try it out and then go back to old, more player friendly ways.

Personally, I'm not having as much fun. I will meander my way through season 4. There are a few cards I'm looking forward to (I'm looking at you Jimmie Foxx). I always get the BR and RS reward (non sell), but man, this go around the rewards are pretty weak. I'll probably do the BR route to get the Core cards.

Once again... WHEN IS THE NEXT CORE COLLECTION??? If you make me work to get all of these silver and gold card for nothing... Well... Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... Strike three.
