Event Restrictions

In playing the most recent event, I have played several players with all 99 overall lineups including in their rotation. How is this possible given the 88 OVR restriction for the event team? Also, in this event, the lowest you can go is silver for bench players, etc. so there is no possible way someone should have a full 99 lineup. Am I missing something?

Probably using horrible pitching?
The rewards are dog [censored] anyway. It's repetitive cards.

They are stacking everything.. Probably have 75 Bullpen (expect 1) rotation (except 1) and bench.

What's annoying is it should at least give you a 88 team then decide what to do.

They should at least give us the generate best lineup option. It's a PITA to try get that thing from 99 down to 88. I played 2 last and figured it was bullsh because I thought the same thing you did. Something isn't right. I had my entire rotation and bullpen at 75, entire bench at 75...with a line up full of 87s??? I tried 1 99 and it went over 88. It makes no sense to me, so I give up

You can have eleven 99's and then the rest need to be 75's. I do eight 99's in the field, one 99 SP and two 99 guys in the pen. Most of my starting line-up players, are switch hitters, so I don't have to worry about subs.

I personally love the lower restrictions like this. Gives me a reason to use Live Series as well as Captain Cards for boosts (Jimmy squad over here).

Events are awesome. They are quick games, decent rewards and I like the changing restrictions. This event allows you to use players from any set, which you can't do in RS.

You aren’t wrong. I’m find it silly to see guys rolling out P5 players in events , that’s the ultimate “try hard” guy, but each their own.

You aren’t wrong. I’m find it silly to see guys rolling out P5 players in events , that’s the ultimate “try hard” guy, but each their own.
Why would the parallel level bother you? A lot of people have P5 set 1 and 2 players they would like to use. It's about putting together the best roster you can, using players you like and winning the games.
