With the way SDS has been moving and operating this year I wouldn’t be surprised if in a few years there’s a completely different developer making the licensed yearly baseball game. They’re following the Elon/Twitter mold of running a company into the ground.

If anything, there should be competition in the sports videogames industry. EA, 2K and SDS are lazy and greedy because there is no (serious) competition.

There definitely needs to be competition, it creates innovation and makes the customer experience a top priority. We’ve had the exact same gameplay and graphics for years making the game feel stale, now the content quality has severely dropped and that’s really dampened any positive feelings towards the game as a whole.

They banned Digital Champion for bad mouthing Ashley and her moments on a stream. Which last I checked banning an account for something said in a content creators stream isn’t in the code of conduct. We should be careful they’ll ban everyone in this thread.

    I just saw the clip.

Here's a thought, don't personally insult the devs. Be frustrated with the game if you want, question their decisions and direction if needed. But, if you have to result to vulgar insults towards any of the devs, then you don't get any sympathy from me.

It was a classless little rant he went on.

Again I get it. But to ban him? We still have a freedom of speech thing. He wasn’t cheating he wasn’t exploiting the game he went on a rant. Was it classless absolutely but to ban him, basically what SDS is saying don’t bad mouth us, dont question us, don’t say anything we don’t like or we’ll ban you. But I still see racism in the game with team names, sexually explicit logos, exploiting the game, and other things that aren’t being banned. DC owned it. Apologized. But a perma ban, or in Thuuneys case questioning the company and being fired. Basically don’t question them. Or they’ll make you disappear

Twitter (X) is going as strong as ever. Really bad example

Was he actually banned or just dropped as an ambassador? I don’t know so that’s why I’m asking. I’m not sure what he said but just following the thread here it seems like he said some dumb things. If he technically is an employee of the company, it seems very reasonable to drop him as an employee or ambassador but if they did ban him from playing the game that seems excessive. If you work for a company or are affiliated with a company and you have a problem you should go to the company in private and express your issues. If you go online and post about the company you work at you should expect repercussions.

What he said was 100% wrong but they banned his account and all consoles with that account on it. He was just a content creator not an ambassador or employee. If he was an employee then yea you’re 100% correct but he’s not just a content creator

Thuney has announced he is no longer an e-sports ambassador for SDS and said it was not his decision and the reason the decision was made is because he had talked negatively in public about the current state of the tournaments organized by SDS.

For those who don't know, Thuney is the guy who does the commentary for the games and he is beloved by the community who participates in these events. He is very passionate and, like many others, he would like to see MLBTS make significant steps to become a worthy e-sports title.

But since the tournaments have been a hot mess and SDS doesn't seem to care about it, he voiced his frustrations on his personal social platform. This lead SDS to strip him from his ambassador role moving forward.

Classy as always SDS, great work. You truly understand how to build a community. 👏🏼

If you’re an employee you do not bad mouth your employer publicly this is just common knowledge. If you have differences with your employer you talk to them privately and if a resolution can’t be found then both parties move on

Also if you go on an interview and you start bashing your former employee chances are you won’t get hired bc they feel why wouldn’t this person bash us to others just like he’s bashing his former employer

I told this to thuney last night in his chat and he still seems to not grasp this concept 100% bc he still believes he shouldn’t of been fired but at the same time says he knew he was going to get canned for weeks before his rant

He told me he’s 26 trying to say he’s grown etc etc etc… I love it when 26 year olds think they know everything lol… so much to learn

    1. If you have to tell us who he is then we don’t care.

    2. We can look up how many people play this game online and know about 200 play so. 🥱

He is not an employee so your whole argument is moot. Also, he provided criticism about the thing he did for them it's not random or uncalled for. I bet none of you clowns actually participate in this championship so you have no idea how bad it was. It's extremely frustrating for everyone involved and him being the face and vocal point of that event, he has every right to voice his displeasure. If that results in SDS cutting ties with him instead of acknowledging the issue and promise to be better, than they are the ones who are to be shamed, not him.

He was hired by SDS as an ambassador for the game. Just like Scan and Yeyo are.

Was he getting paid for his services? If so then yes he was employed/contracted by sds

You can’t fire someone if they don’t work for you and he was fired.

Unless he was a volunteer and did this because he loved commenting and wasn’t getting compensation from SDS- he was an “employee” in some capacity

If you have a collaboration going on, you work as a private contractor and you are not on the company payroll like the actual employees are. They most likely also don't receive benefits or others perks, again contrary to actual employees. So, not an employee.

I literally said in my post, “contracted”’, which you chose to ignore

And he was contracted to do a duty for sds- he spoke out negatively and his contract was the canceled

Do you think a company that hires an independent contractor would continue to do business with that person if the person publicly spoke negative about the company?

Like what world do you guys live in?

The one where employees and contractors are not the same.
