Retirement showdown cards missing

Currently doing the retirement one and I'm seeing that it says after every win I get a new card but when I go to lineup I can't sub them in ! Any one know why ?
Don't see them on bench either so I'm kinda confused lol TIA -
After each round you resume draft. After that you should slot your perk. Then manage squad and select option to maximize squad. I forget what it is called. This will pull in your recent selection.
