SDS Employment Problem

No one at this company has a baseball IQ larger than a walnut. If they did, the example I’m presenting below wouldn’t happen. As great as the video game mechanics can be, thats only half the puzzle.
It’s like asking the worlds best baker to make a cake shaped like a baseball. If she doesn’t know what baseball is, the cake won’t come out as wanted, no matter how good the cake tastes.
A big example of this lack of common baseball IQ is when a runner is on 3rd with 1 out. If a ground ball is hit to the 3rd baseman, the runner on third takes off for home. In irl baseball, this won’t happen except under rare or certain circumstances.
I won’t complain ever about aspects of video game design, because I can’t do that and I respect those who can. What I do know is baseball IQ, and I feel that should be able to be put into the game easily.

I agree, watching them play the game it seems like the developers didn’t play baseball themselves

Some of them have played college baseball and the MtO guy is a career play by play guy, but I agree sometimes the logics are funky. I just wish they would finally make the Inf animation to rush to home on squeeze plays
