Should Ohtani have Ripken Boost

I know lightning Ohtani has been the source of some controversy over the past little bit but on a completely unrelated note he has 99 durability and I have him in my DH spot but he doesn’t get the Ripken boost? Is that intended by sds or a mistake?

Because he is considered a pitcher, he does not get the boost

He also doesn't count as a hitter for an Angels Captain Boost which is kind of lame.
