Ohtani will be a Dodger, guaranteed.
Why would Angels management trade the biggest draw in baseball, a once in a generation player to another team in the same city? I know Anaheim and LA are different, but at 26 miles that's just a horrible idea. Will he stay? Maybe, but I doubt he is going to LA as anything other than a free agent.

The last thing the Cardinals need to do is trade away pitching but I could definitely see Flaherty getting traded since he becomes a free agent after this season and I don't think he and management have ever seen eye to eye.
Tyler O'Neill could be gone though feel like his value is at a low point right now .
I am sure there are other players that could be shipped as well, Burleson or Carlson.
The Cardinals hitters are hanging in the top 10 in many categories (WAR, wRC+, OBP) so they don't really need a ton of offense. Their pitching is where all the help is needed, especially if they trade away a Flaherty or Montgomery. But the most telling stat is that they lead the league in blown saves so better relievers might help.
It's never really happened in my lifetime as a Cubs fan, but do the redbirds actually do a full rebuild? I mean they have always managed to turn meatloaf into prime rib with some of their choices, but wondering what someone on the other side of the rivalry thinks.

I’d like the Phillies to add a first baseman. The thought of Harper playing first with coming off Tommy John surgery 6 months ago makes me very nervous.

No, I think it is doubtful. Can't see them getting rid of Arenado or Goldy or even Jordan Walker although I have seen a number of posts of different team's fans salivating over Arenado.

I worry quite a bit that they might part ways with him but I sure hope not. I’d love to see him play out the rest of his time with them as he’s been such a special player. Has he ever NOT won the gold glove at third base for them?

In my dreams I’d like Ohtani but I’ve been dreaming of having him since he was a high school kid called Otani that almost got signed so I’m patient. Realistically I’d love to get Liam Hendriks into the Dodgers bullpen.

Anyone wanna talk trades? First and foremost is your team in the position to buy, or sell? Who would you like to see go, who do you want your team to pick up? Most importantly….will Ohtani be traded before the year is up? Anyone interested? I know I am!
Ohtani will be a Dodger, guaranteed. I feel like he belongs there and I can’t help but wonder if we’ve yet to see what he’s really, really capable of. I say this because of the tradition of baseball greatness (as much as it pains me to admit) that the Dodgers have and what’s going to happen once Shohei and Koufax start working together?
Koufax???? I just happened to be at a game on July 24, 1965 and watched Ray Sadecki (he pitched for the Mets too) battle it out with Koufax who lost by the way. The star of the game was Bob Uecker who hit a bomb into the left field bleachers. Too bad I wasn't in the front row but I was there and saw it. Oh and tell Rhino it is statistically impossible that I was there because I was only 10 years old!!!!!!!

I sure could’ve used you last week…look for a topic I made on Tony Oliva while you were out riding the fences…I bet you’ll have something to say about Koufax on that one as well. I even got the year correct
-
The Pirates just took out a reverse mortgage on PNC Park, so I'm pretty confident Ohtani will be wearing the Black and Gold come August.

Man…what I wouldn’t give to have seen Sandy Koufax pitch a game in person! You mention Uecker…I had tuned into a Brewers game on the radio and heard his unmistakable voice calling the game…I got the impression that he must be their radio guy now and must no longer be with the Indians because the game was against the Orioles. It was funny to hear him pronounce Anthony Santander’s name as “san-tander” and you know he’s heard it properly pronounced he just didn’t give a [censored] which has always been one of the most endearing features (to me) about the good old employer or Mr Belvedere!

Hahahaha Indians? He’s been with the Brewers for years. You mean the Indians in the movie Major League? Just a bit outside lmao

My gosh you’re right. At one time a few weeks ago I think I should’ve known that haha. I tell you what it was. I watched the 1995 WS over a few nights last week and Uecker was there calling those l games on TV. I remember him having the call on Younts 3000th too. Heck I think. Lol
-
He's done it. That's 3000 for Robin.

The GM must’ve seen that commercial with Magnum PI on it haha
What’s the term on that paper? 700 years? Lol they’d better mortgage the entire city of Pittsburgh ha

I don't think anybody will give the Angels what they want for a 2 month rental, unless Ohtani tells that team that he will sign with them. That being said, I'm hoping my Giants feel obligated to make up for missing out twice with Judge and Correa, although I'd rather have Ohtani than either one of those 2 at this point. I don't think money will be the issue if Ohtani goes to LA over the Giants, Giants are going to do everything they can to keep him from going there.

When Harry Caray was still in St. Louis he admitted he sometimes got the players names wong on purpose. He was a firm believer of "any attention is good attention>
I don't mean that as an insult, but he was still fairly new to MLB broadcasting and probably figured getting noticed this way was faster.

Good ol Harry. Loved him. Love all of the great baseball broadcasters. Ya know with Harry it seemed like the longer the game went the less he remembered lol or do you think that had more to do with ice cold Budweiser (sounds good)

A guy has to hydrate. Wait a second. That doesn’t hydrate you.

Giants didn't miss out on Judge or Correa,
Judge was a negotiation tactic- he was never signing anywhere else.
and Correa- didn't miss out,got lucky.
