Quick Resume on XSX Broken (maybe PS5 as well)

Posted over on Reddit earlier and many others having same issue. Basically if you power off Xbox, when you hop back into Show it usually just say you have lost connection at which point you back out to main menu and just go back into DD. No problem. However last week or so you get same message but it backs out and freezes and won’t reconnect. You have to completely quit out of the game and reload. Not end of world but definitely annoying. Just posting so SDS can see and hopefully fix. Some PS users also responded saying they had similar issue.

L been having the same issue glad I’m not the only one. I thought it was my Xbox acting up

I have found a work around in that if you leave DD and go back to the main menu before you put your PS5 in rest mode, you don't have the issue. Not sure if this will work for Xbox as well though.

I've had same issue on PS 5. Sometimes it lets me back out of DD and go back in but usually have to close game entirely and restart. Like you said, not a huge deal but kind of annoying

If you can remember to back out of DD before you put your PS5 into rest mode, you shouldn't have to restart the game.

Yes it is happening for me as well. I tried playing mk and that booted up after rest mode. It just seems to be mlb.

Same here. When it happens I restart activity from app. You are not alone.

This isn’t broken. Quick resume isn’t for modes where you have to be online.

It has worked forever until the last week. You just enjoy making things up as you see fit?

This has worked fine for the past three years and suddenly has been an issue for about the past week or two. As has been mentioned, the best thing is to back out of DD when finished playing…but I hardly ever remember to do that. I really expected this to be one of the ones where they implemented a quick fix.
