Just late..

.. is giving me more rewarded swings than PP.
Anyone else noticing this?
If the ball doesn’t go in the air PP is a line or ground out.
Just late seems to fly. Either doubles or HR.
Being any sort of just early or early seems to be bad for average.
Very early can work ok.
Over time you get to learn the traits I guess.

Depends on a number of factors. Pitch type and location, hitter's tendencies, where fielders are at in the field, and wind conditions.

Man, I do think some people here (a lot of people) don't realize that this game does its best to use physics within the hitting engine. If a ball is on the inside of the zone, you HAVE to be a little early or you will get jammed. That results in either a weak hit the other way, or a pop up.
If the ball is on the outside part of the plate, you have to be a little late. Otherwise, you'll end up trying to pull an outside pitch which is just a weak line drive or fly ball.
If you aren't currently able to hit to all parts of the field, start focusing more on that, and less on "timing". Timing always depends on pitch type and pitch location.

How do you get a line out without the ball going in the air lol, jk i know what you meant just worded it funny.

Given my age and slow reactions, I get a lot of "just late", and I agree with your assessment. Everything I hit with Hank just jumps off the bat to right/right center.

I think Hank is a “push hitter” in the game, so obviously he’s going to be stronger on later hits than pull or extreme pull guys.

100% true. Forgot about that. He was fresh in my mind as I had him in my last BR run (and yes, I was facing bronze/silver).
How about Trout? I hit well with him to the opposite field.

remember the good old days of just late be great...

Go check the batter analysis, it will show that just late as early. This game is so broken it’s not funny.
