Are rankings and events pointless?

So I’m a fairly new player my ranking is terrible but I started playing this event in the last two guys that played every guy on their team has like 75 or 80 home runs this season lol so do the rankings even mean anything?

They are good for online players to get cards I havent played a single online game in months

Yeah I thought I’d try. Every once in a while ya know someone quits if you have one good inning. But I’m just wondering if the rankings mean anything. How I could end up against these players that have an entire lineup of guys with 85 HR each this season while I’m hitting like .122 collectively lol

I really don’t get them either. I played my first two event games ever the other day and faced two guys that, when I looked at their profiles, had literally had played in multiple hundreds of online games but the top of his screen had him as a “level 2” and I have a “level 75” yet I was at 88 hours played and he had over 600 hours. They both beat me like drums hahaha but I got my Easter egg (to go with my two goose eggs)

Moon [censored] event is the bottom of the barrel. I usually love events and for the most part, win 80-90% of the games….but I refuse to play moonshot as it comes across as an event for try hards that need some sort of validation to their life…..( just my opinion)….
