I have fun using the captains this year to switch things up. Cal Ripken,Trevor Hoffman and David Wright were my favorites for a while but I think I found possibly the best captain. Jimmy Rollins! Any player with shortstop primary or secondary get his boost. Think about how many good shortstop and secondary shortstops are in the game. You gotta try this. Definitely recommend.
I just want to thank you for this; while not secret info, I most likely would not have considered this option... but, having to part with Torii Hunter soon and having little success with Nootbar and Bader, I remembered this post when looking at options, and now I'm sporting a Set 3 eligible roster with 11 guys that can play short.
I never would have looked at guys like Rengifo, or put Westburg out in RF (both pretty impressive with that boost)... may not be the world beating meta squad, but I'm enjoying it and having a blast again, which is far more important.

Hey man You don’t have to thank me. I’m glad you really like it. I’m just sharing my opinion of options that I think are fun and potentially really good. I appreciate you for the thanks though.
I also really like using Rengifo in my lineup with that boost. He seems to hit everything really hard and his swing is incredible and he’s a switch hitter. Jorge Polanco is almost maxed out contact with that boost and makes him one of the best hitters in the game imo. WBC Xander gets maxed out vs both sides. I’ve also been having success with Jackson Holiday and Collection Corey Seager are insane too. Plus the obvious Ketel Marte and Lindor, The one that really surprised me was Noveli Marte. He’s been my best hitter for the past few games. Honestly I thought I would need to take Jimmy Rollins out after the first inning but he’s got sneaky power too. So many options
That Jackson Holiday card is dynamite is it not. That’s a fun one to sneak into the 7 or 8 hole - he always makes them pay
He’s really good and as an Orioles fan I couldn’t be happier.

I used the Rollins card today as a captain along with the Pedro captain for my RS game.
Had a lineup of boosted Donaldson, Adamas , Wright, Chipper, Jazz, Trea, and Lindor ( along with Mauer and Mantle in the lineup and several more SS’s on the bench). Lots of fun

Now that’s how you do it. That’s a really good team. I was going to use some of those guys but I’ve parallel V most of them. I’m weird because once I maxed a player out I stop using them most of the time, plus I sold Mantle. I don’t know what it is about him but I can’t usually get it going with him. On paper he’s one of the best players in the game but for me I struggle somewhat with him.
