Position Changing

I don’t think position changing is well thought out. I have a center fielder for the Twins. The team tells me that they are already set at center field. Fine, I get it. I mean it’s dumb because my player is 11 years younger than Buxton. Are you saying you don’t plan for the future? Anyway, I have only two choices. I can tell them no, I’m a center fielder. Trade me. Or I can say sure, I’ll play left field. Well, the second option seems like it isn’t terrible. Except it is. I am then reassigned to left fielder with a secondary position of starting pitcher. What? How did that happen? I don’t want to get traded. And I don’t mind playing left field, but is there any way it’s not permanent?
This really under scores an issue with outfield, and really all secondary positions. Namely they don’t exist in RTTS. Why is that? Outfielders play multiple outfield positions all the time. This whole thing wouldn’t be an issue if we could somehow establish secondary positions, and then use them.

Not playing in this year's game, but for 2021 I was a left handed hitting and throwing first baseman. I was hitting the ball so well I was in the majors in week 1 of my first AAA season.
Here is where it went sideways. I arrive to the majors and am switched to second base. No cut scene asking me if I want to do this, etc. While I was extremely frustrated, I got it because the current first baseman was established.
I am guessing the actual 2B was injured, and I was probably going to be sent down in 21 days. Nope. I rocked the ball all year long, but because I was left handed I literally could not turn a double play.
So next year comes along, and I am now the rookie of the year, and PERMANENTLY at second base. Each year for 3-4 years the team would bring in an even worse first baseman than the one the year before. I was saying to myself "WTF? Why not move me to first where I belong and bring in a second baseman?
Then the real world 21 season ended, and I was much happier with 2020 so I stopped playing, so I would say based on my experience, and I doubt SDS put any effort into RTTS that you are unfortunately hosed.
I don't know that if you ask for a trade when your agent finally gets around to calling you (don't understand why I don't have access to him 24/7) if you do get traded that you won't be stuck at left field with your new team.
If you do go this route, please post it as I would be interested to see if that would help me in the future.

I think this could be fixed with secondary positions in place from the start. And have some sort of system of mixing it up. Playing a secondary spot when substituted in the game, or giving someone else a rest. Heck, a RTTS player never plays DH. Oh well. I’ll see what happens when I get to talk to my agent and follow up here.
