Other program…just in time for father’s day

I do feel they are experimenting alot this year almost like this year's game is being treated as a beta test for next years game when it goes full current get and leaves the ps4/xb1 era behind.
The thought that I paid them $100 so they could “experiment” and beta test for next year has me very excited to pay them next year.

I like a lot of cards but the amount they’ve released this year it’s just way to much. We still have so much time left on set 2. Cards are going to become so redundant soon. When they just start releasing cards in set 3 and 4 exactly like we already have now.
-
Just so im tracking, a 97 ovr card is the reward for going 12-0?

I know! Where's the hype-machine at SDS?
They just seem like they're mailing it in this year. They threw everything and the kitchen sink card-wise into the 2023 version, and I'm just kind of bored. I can't prove this, but it feels like the Programs were better in previous years. I'm missing something as simple as replaying the US Conquest map. There's no reason to do it this year (by the way... WHERE ARE MY GOLD PROSPECTS???). I've stayed away from Mini-Seasons since they're broken for me lately.
I also remember in previous years that SDS seemed to take a more active role here in the Forums. I was excited to see that CBrev was added to the team, but the only time he posts is to tell us that "a fix is coming for that". There's just no engagement.
All right. Enough negativity for me. I'm going for a walk on the beach. Tough life, I know.

I mean, i cant win 3 in a row let alone 12 lets be clear
-
FB just posted a Kaiju card for Craig and Calvin Biggio.
-
The Cavan at 93 I'm good with but his dad at 93 makes zero sense when I have a 97 that would be my wild card for a ASTRO team build in season 3 as it stands
-
It’s not 12-0 in events it’s for 12 wins in an event run so you can be 12-1, you can tell how many guys didn’t play DD before 18
-
I give SDS credit for trying something different this year, but it should be clear from Community feedback that what they are trying is not satisfying.
Offline only player. The game is EXTREMELY grind-y, for very little worthwhile rewards.
I mean, I just passed 420k in this program. I got 2000 stubs! That is ridiculous for being 65% of the way thru the program. How about a 100k subs? Now, that’s a reward to grind for.
They need to return to the 2021 model for rewards. Seemed like every time I played, I got something worthwhile for a Collection.
I don’t want something for “free”, but I do want something Collection worthy for grinding.
2000 stubs ain’t cutting it.
-
we could just call this the Blue Jays program+their dads since I imagine the Vlads are involved (I also assume there will be a 97ish Jr. Griffey waiting for us) but hey another grouping of free set 2 cards for the collection so I won't complain

I don't think they still have the rights for Sr.

It seems that more and more people are becoming frustrated with the structure of the game this year. Some people expressed concerns right at launch, I became pretty bored with things right when Season two started, @Ericulous1_PSN is now starting to have some concerns. I would think the trend will continue all year other than the few that will just defend SDS at all costs.
I do think the scary thing is that this "beta" or "alpha" will probably be used mainly to figure out what will generate the greatest profit. That is what a business is and I completely get it, but those decisions may not really generate what is a good and enjoyable game for the general population. At this point I am only playing BR and RS and not worrying one bit if I complete any collections. The last two years I completed every collection and had every card and wanted to complete everything. The way I treat the game this year wouldn't be good for SDS...but if there are more people buying stubs than previous years because they think they have to complete Set 1, Set 2, etc., then they are probably more than pleased with their product.
-
Set 2 has been awful. Today's program is another chance to grind for cards that are worse versions of guys I already have. I don't care that it's more cards for a collection. The content has to be more than that for it to be fun or engaging.

I am a big supporter of this game, I also play primarily offline so a lot of the things that bug people don’t tend to affect me. I do think it’s pretty obvious they are kinda making things up as they go right now.
-We have an other program that has 0 hype behind it coming out tomorrow.
-The online rewards have been very unfavorable the last month. I haven’t seen anyone really excited about guys like Minnie Minoso (great in real life, not so much in the game), Gerrit Cole, Andre Dawson etc.-They just added a 12-0 stipulation to an event and made the reward a 97 Kerry Wood which seems to have made twitter almost as mad as the fake 99 Griffey last year.
I’m just saying: I think this 99s from day 1 and overload of content now has them kinda throwing spaghetti the wall to see what will stick. I might be wrong. Oh well, just an observation. I can’t imagine how the rest of the year is gonna play out.
Wait? They're tying an Event reward for only people that can go 12-0?
Yeap, SDS has lost their minds. The best cards in season 2 are in packs or locked behind stubs. They are slowly becoming EA
-
All I gotta say is Season 3 cards better all be bangers or this is going to be pointless. I'll be losing a bunch of Season 1 players I really like. I know I can switch my wild card around to whoever I want to use but just about my whole offensive lineup is Season 1 cards. I kinda wish Babe and Chipper weren't in Season 1.

So thanks for the video link above. I guess it all boils down to card releases. And yes, as mentioned, I am an offline player.
Here is the text from their graphic.
Some modes throughout Diamond Dynasty, like Ranked and Conquest, will require season squads made of of in-season cards., keeping squads fresh and competition fierce.
Dates listed for the seasons
Season 1 - Jan 1 - May 12 (Core and set 1 cards)
Season 2 - May 12 - July 7 (Core, Set 1 and Set 2)
Season 3 - July 7th - Sep 1 (Core, Set 2 and Set 3)Now as a Cardinal Fan who likes to use my Cardinals squad for many Conquests I see the following Set 1 Cards already
92 Wainwright (Captain)
97 Tommy Edman (Charisma)
90 Tyler O'Neill (WBC)
95 Arenado (WBC)
95 Goldschmidt (WBC)These are all labeled as Set 1 cards which means they all stop being relevant at the all star break.
Will we get new versions of those players? Will the Cardinals get a new team captain (or a new Wainwright card) for set 3? Will I spend countless time grinding a team affinity for 97 Tommy Edman just so he can be obsolete in July and then have to revert back to his live series card at that point?
How many will be disappointed when that awesome 99 Trea Turner WBC card can't be used in ranked after the all star break?
Sure they make it seem like you have options as you can have a single wild card where you can use a one player from a past set.
I have so many questions and concerns. If my fears come to pass then I could be frustrated and quit by my birthday (July 8th)
To answer my questions above about those specific players.
Only O'Neill has a better card that is Set 2.
Goldy has a lower rated Set 2 card.Wainwright, Arenado and Edman will all be forced to go back to live series if I want to continue to use them.
I also lose 99 Edmonds, Walker, Smith and Gibson.

You called it, 96 overall Vlad Jr, and 95 overall Vlad the impaler.

I assume you know that, most likely, I won't be able to do any season 3 offline content (new conquests or mini seasons) with those players. Which means that any new Cardinal cards released in those programs will force me to use a compliant lineup.
I believe I have a very firm grasp on how the new sets and seasons work and how they will affect my play.
I was concerned enough at the beginning this years game to save the US conquest map and default Mini Seasons for later so I can run it with the players I want if I give up on progressing programs.
