Make the 1st baseman cover 1st on outfield hits?
-
Once every few games, the opposing team will hit the ball to shallow right field, and I'm able to get the ball in quicker than the baserunner can get to first base. However, the first baseman never actually covers first base. This might be a minor thing, but it does cost me an out ever few games.
Anyone know a way to fix this?

no way to workaround this., it’s coded this way on purpose.
-
In past games you could gun out people from right field a few times a game. Not realistic. Glad they toned it down.

Don't bother throwing to first unless the second basemen dives to his left.

Years ago this was an exploit. It was really bad. You could get 3-4 outs per game by throwing to first from right field. Very unrealistic. I’m glad it’s coded this way now. People still try though and I laugh every time lol

I actually got thrown out at first today by a Real 99 (not sure who because it was BR). Couldn’t figure out how he did it until my son just told me the same exact thing you said about the second baseman diving.

Welp, the cat is out of the box now

No because those are base hits. No one gets thrown out at 1st from RF.

I bet Marcell Ozuna could.

Happened a few times for me.

Up until 3 years ago this was an op play. Glad it has been toned down. Irl that 9-3 putout happens about as often as a 5-4-3 around the horn triple play.
-
I’ve heard stories of before where like people would get thrown out constantly. Tbh I don’t mind it that much and considering there’s a lot of other points to work on I can live with this. The cutoffs from right are brutal the first baseman is too deep and throws arch in for instance,
-
'Snap throw.'
-
I think they coded it out. I was playing with my son on a xp grind field for fun and a shot was hit to RF, I gunned it to first and replay shows he was about by almost 2 steps but they called him safe.
-
Glad they took it away. Anyone with under 30/35 speed used to be useless.

It is realistic. It happens in real MLB games. Just do a Google search and watch those videos

I loved throwing to first against the CPU from Left and watching them make the turn to go to second! LOL

Absolutely not. This trash was in the game a few years ago.

What he meant by not realistic is "few times a game". It's a rare play.

Maybe they should make the fielders slower and the runners a bit quicker, it's not like we haven't told then this before
