Is there a more useless 99 card in this new set? I thought maybe I wasn’t using him right (I stopped using him all together a while back) but I just homered against him for the lead in a save situation.
That persons ERA with Mo was over 9 lol so at least I know it isn’t just me. My ERA is 6.45.

Yeah I complained about his cutter awhile back. It feels like it has no movement whatsoever

Strange too because I feel like in ‘21 he was the best reliever in the game by a mile (atleast for me). Last two years I’ve heard nothing but people lighting him up. Wonder what it is?

I’ve thought he was terrible each year. Sit inside, adjust to sinker low and away. Never been afraid of him coming out of the pen.

I have pitched extremely well with him. I think alot of people spam his cutter & thus people sit on it. He actually has a real nasty change up which is my strikeout pitch with him.

I feel a lot of it is everyone has seen him so much its partially why I've started trying to use "other" guys that haven't been seen

I was excited to get him, even though I'm a Red Sox fan, as he is one of my favorite players.
Then as soon as I got him; they dropped the Milestone Jansen and I should've sold off Rivera when he was around 40K.
But I was bouncing between the two of them.
This is mainly offline; but they both have sub 1.00 ERAs and have yet to blow a save.

I love hitting against Mariano. I was getting destroyed by a guy throwing Randy earlier today. Was no hitting me through 7 and for some reason brought in Mariano. Ended up cracking Mariano twice for a 2-1 win. Mariano has always been a lackluster closer, you have to really watch your pitch mix to be effective. His cutter is super readable, so I use it down and in or away coupled with a sinker early, then his changeup always throws people off.
And when did Mariano get a 5 pitch mix??? =)~
