Why does it feel like marianos cutter isn't that good?
I feel like I've thrown it with other pitchers that throw it with the same velocity but theirs has more movement.
Is it his release/wind up? He was always touted to have the best cutter in the game when he pitched.

His captain card was nasty. But I think people not seeing him helped a lot.

People have seen Mo, Degrom and Kenley way too much. That is the main reason they get smacked.

People have seen Mo, Degrom and Kenley way too much. That is the main reason they get smacked.
Oh I haven't even used him online yet, I'm just saying it doesn't seem like it has the same amount of movement as other cutters in the game. It SHOULD be his best pitch, since that was basically all he threw

The new 97 Sonny Gray has a nasty cutter that tops out at like 86
I think cutters are more effective when they’re 8-10 MPH slower than what the pitcher tops out at

I couldn’t use him when he was a live player back in the day and figured why would it be any different now and unfortunately I was right. I think I can’t get his windup down or something. Maybe it’s psychological at this point for me, like Yogi Berra said, “baseball is 90% mental and the other half is physical.”

You're wrong. Any cutter with low velocity is batting practice. I'd rather throw a fastball with movement then a cutter.

I don’t know what you play in RS but nothing is harder than facing an outlier FB pitcher who can successfully tunnel a 90mph cutter
Which would you think is harder to hit?
1: 102 FB, 97 SNK, 99 CUT
2: 102 FB, 97 SNK, 92 CUTPretty obvious to me. Option 1 I’m more likely to have good timing whatever is thrown

If you face someone that pitches well and can tunnel a cutter with high velocity like a 4sfb or sinker, it’s very hard to hit in this game
I’m 29-4, mainly play on HOF or Legend, and I say that to tell you I hate facing pitchers with a slower cutter that also have high velocity
You may be right irl but in terms of this game, we’ll agree to disagree

I didn’t like him last year cause he wasn’t that good for me. I”m not that good at throwing cutters as I am other pitches. I personally had success with left handed pitchers throwing cutters for some reason.
