First time I have ever seen this

Played my first Season 2 Ranked seasons game today and instantly it froze before the first pitch. So we went on a freezoff and after 40 min all of sudden the game unfreezed and I was allowed to pitch. He ended up forfeiting after a few pitches once he realized it was HOF probably. Anyways, I have never remotely had a game unfreeze that late in a freeze off.

It is a new extra long pause feature you can buy. I use it when I need to pause the game to floss or do dishes.

Or nap. SDS is trying to be a realistic as possible to watching an MLB game at home where you fall sleep for 3 innings in the middle of the game

Once when I was in high school I fell asleep watching a Houston vs Cubs day game. Woke up to find out some rookie had set the single game strikeout record.
