Check Swings / Passed Balls by Catcher

I feel like every attempt at a check swing ends up being a strike about 90% of the time. Is that a me issue or do many other people feel the same way? It really feels like every 9/10 check swings are called strikes ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Also, I feel like there’s not nearly enough passed balls by the catchers on pitches in the dirt or above the head. I get just about every catcher being used has elite fielding but to me it just feels like there’s not nearly enough passed balls for many crappy pitches in the dirt. Thoughts by anyone? Appreciate the input
