Extra Inning Mode Gone?

I didn't play 22 so I don't know when Extra Innings was removed. It was in 21 and isn't in 23. Does anyone know why this is? I'm guessing they think Mini Seasons replaced it, but it really didn't. Three inning games tied to a season are not the same as a stand-alone 9 inning game. I loved Extra Innings games because the rosters were different each game plus different uniforms and names. Now we have to play the same MLB teams over and over. I don't play ranked seasons. Just trying to find out why it's gone. Thanks!

EI was nice because you could choose any player's team to practice against. You still get to go against other players' teams, you just dont get to choose any longer.I was bummed they took it out.

Yes it sucks. It's a great way to see other teams, names and uniforms. I used it all the time for grinding. Now we have to play the same MLB teams over and over. That's lame.
