Conquest
-
I finally remember why I quit playing Conquest years ago. I can never finish the 3 inning game in 3 innings.
I had 20 minutes before I had to leave and wanted to jump into a quick game and had to quit the game in the 5th inning.
EDIT: This is all I have left to complete WBC. I guess I’m a rookie on the mode again since it’s been like 5 years or so.

You should try scoring more runs.
-
You do not always have to play on Legend in Conquest. You could play on Rookie or Veteran pretty easily and that should get you to play only 3 inning games!
-
.....but almost every tweet from The Show twitter is:
'We need more Conquest maps!'
Just sub in a fast runner when it's ghpst runner time and win. -

I wish that was the reason. I was only on veteran. Maybe with all my time away I should’ve started back on rookie.

Yeah no joke. Hitting has always been by weakness. I could have 9 Babe Ruth’s and struggle to score.

To be fair, I feel like rookie can be the most random. Sometimes I'll score 10 runs in an inning, and the next game I'll be held hitless for 3 innings as line drives are caught all over the field. I probably end up in extra innings on rookie more often than I do on all-star or HOF.

I wanted to be done with it quick as possible. I dislike rookie when you get average pitchers the pitches just move different for me and I can’t hit as is which makes hitting on rookie just as bad. A pitcher like Cole on veteran is easier than a pitcher like Greinke on rookie which makes zero sense in the universe.

Try playing all conquest games on All Star instead of lower. I started this last year, regardless if I could go rookie or Vet, and made it much easier to score. It is just more what you are use to in terms of pitch speeds so it doesnt mess with your timing. yes it is a little tougher keeping the cpu from scoring on AS but I find I normally score plenty of runs so it doesnt matter. Going below AS pitch speeds just makes hitting tougher IMO.

I'd rather not spend 30 minutes setting a lineup up with "Mission" needed guys to play a miniseason game.

The non-working filters in mini-season are a huge issue but its easy enough to just start one from scratch and pre-set the lineup that way.
Also i feel like the filters in general have taken a huge step back from last year.

I tried to field a White Sox team in the TA MS...After Scrolling through 900 pages of players to get to some Bronze White sox twice to put them on the bench and help activate Konerko's Captain Boost...I said Screw it. I'm going back to Play vs. CPU.

I’ll try this because you got what I was trying to say. My hitting is poor against bad pitching. Pitching has always been the stronger part of my game so maybe I won’t struggle badly.

Why the HELL would you play Conquest on anything other than Rookie or Veteran?!
Granted, for the USA map I play Colorado on AS just to get them out of the way on turn 1. But other than that...
-
Theres no reason not play it on Rookie. Take some pitches and the pitcher will feed you meatballs by batter 3

Placebo. You have more time to react, less of a penalty for missing the timing window, bigger pci, everything is easier in rookie if it doesn’t get in your head. Switching between all the different timings can play a part but I’ll never feel it’s easier, because it’s not.

I play them on AS or higher as warmup games to go online. Then you’re at least seeing similar pitch speeds.
