Ranked Disconnects
-
I can not make it through a game of ranked without getting "lost connection to opponent", and getting the loss. I do not disconnect from the actual game itself. Very frustrating. Please let me know if you are having the same issues. This happens in battle royale as well

Are you on wifi?

Wired in LAN, with xfinity best internet.

Well something is definitely going on on your end. You may need to get new equipment from your isp or buy new equipment if you own your own equipment. I happen to work for Comcast and can tell you that what you are describing is most likely being caused by your equipment that you are using to access the internet.

Also you may have noise on your coax line which will cause modem timeouts do to interference with the signal spectrum. Timeouts will cause you to lose connectivity briefly but your modem will still appear to be online.

How do eliminate the "noise" so the timeouts will not happen?

make sure your ethernet cord is secured in.I had this issue before and my cord was slipping out barely a hair.

Noise is not “noise” like you think noise is, the reason it’s called noise is because the interference is measured in decibels which is the scientific measurement of sound. This is usually not something you can fix on your own. To even be able to detect noise you need special measuring equipment which your isp field techs possess. If there is noise on you service drop or in your house wiring you would have to schedule a trouble call visit for them to track it down. Noise can/is extremely detrimental to your service quality, and it may not even be your premises causing that particular problem. If your neighbors are blowing noise into the plant that can cause whole nodes to experience service related issues. My suggestion is to schedule a visit to have your isp do a health check on your premises and the plant your premises is receiving its service from. The one thing you can do is check to make sure all the connections in your premises are secured tightly both at the device and the wall that the device is connected to if your wires are concealed within the wall. Also eliminating any unnecessary live connections (outlets receiving signal that are not connected to a terminating device such as a cable box or modem) can also help but you will need special tools to do that. Good luck hope my suggestions pan out.

Also if you would like a quicker response to your questions and someone is trying to help you out, reply to their response by tapping on the quote button. That will trigger a notification to the person who is helping you out.

I have yet to have a game disconnect in Ranked and this has been the best year in the last few years for stability. Has to be on your end somehow.
