Drafted players not appearing the lineup

After I win a showdown- the player I select as the award doesn't appear in my lineup or on the bench. The second card to increase skills is there.
Do I have a config issue?

If you already have a different version of that player you have to sub him out first. Also, the players don't automatically get added

Stupid question...did you try subbing out a player from your lineup or bench like you would in any other game mode when buying a card from the market? The card isn't automatically added to your team. You have to choose who is getting the boot first.

So I go thru the same motions selecting a player or skill upgrade. I've tried bringin the player to the bench but that hasn't worked either.
In the past if my 3B was low value and I selected an upgrade 3B it would overwrite on the screen- now that new player is just gone.

If it's the same player you have to sub in another third baseman and then sub in the new drafted player. IE: You draft LS Alex Bregman for third base. Then you draft FB Bregman. You have to put a bench player, doesn't have to be a third baseman, in to take LS Bregman out of third. Then you go back in and FB Bregman will be there to select.
And the only time the CPU loads a player into a starting spot is when you first start a game. After the initial draft; you have to enter the player.

I see my issue now- I thought I was bound to the bench players only and thought that's where the newly drafted players would go. Thx for the help.
