PS5 stick drift problem
-
I used to be on PS4 & seemed to have this happen every 6 months. Switched to Xbox Series X when next gen dropped & haven’t had this problem in years.

I usually go through 1-2 a year due to this issue. At 75.00 a pop, it may be worthwhile to break down and buy that new controller that you can just replace the sticks. 180 is a lot for a controller but may be worth it in the long run.

Just started having the same issue. I was hoping the PS5 controller would last longer, but I guess not. I used to go through a few of the cheap Series X Power A controllers a year.

My controllers sometimes shatter into pieces while I'm playing BR. Not sure if there's a fix for it.

God, that's funny!

I went through several controllers quickly due to stick drift. I bit the bullet for the new PS5 Edge controller as you can replace various parts on them, including the sticks. The controller is a bit expensive, but results I've had so far are good. Had it since January and no issues - small sample size of 4 months. The stick replacements are $20 so ROI on these can take some time, but I play a lot of different games and I like the controller so far. The ability to set dead zones also helps as the native controllers don't do that.

Yes.... mine has been drifting to the left a bit and slightly shaking. It just started doing it over the weekend. I'm just going to buy a new one. This controller is over a year old... used to replace my PS4 once a year. A new controller always feels great after the switch.

I said this on another thread. I buy a controller from game stop and get the protection. Anytime my controller goes out of whack, I just take it to them and pay another protection and walk out with a new controller. I go through 2 or 3 a year so it costs me 30 bucks a year basically and I'm always using a new controller when I want to.
They never question anything, they just ask what color I want.

Had 2 with the same issue. Took both apart and cleaned the stick sensors with cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. Fixed the issue for both.
