Showdowns is pretty much 7-8 moments and its always "score a run before making 8-10 outs with a runner on 2nd" or something stupid. If you can't score a single run before making 8-10 outs, maybe this isnt the game for you. Stop swinging at trash and make an effort. It won't kill you.

Now, first off, I did complete the Charisma showdown. It took me a few tries. But I completed it.
That being said; I DO NOT think it should be mandatory.
The time I spent trying to get the 30 pts could've been spent elsewhere. Doing Missions, Playing BR, etc.
I would like SDS to go back to the formula where there are multiple ways to complete a program.
Even if they don't want to make a PXP Mission repeatable; they can incorporate a Collection. They can include a Conquest Map. They can include Exchanges.
Heck, this Showdown was worth 30pts.
Do a Collect 'X' amount of Charisma cards for 20 pts and an Exchange for 10pts.
Do a Conquest Map for 30pts.
You can keep the Showdown in the program; but give us options.
ESPECIALLY IF THE REWARDS ARE NON SELLABLE AND ARE TIED TO A SPECIFIC SET
Get good.
Another clown with the "Git gud" comment LMAO. You realize no one writes that junk here anymore right? And no your comment was not directed at me, but when I see someone with that cheesy , ridiculous, stale comment ...I gotta say something
You can get guuuud

Last night I told myself I wasn't going to repeatedly do the West Affinity Showdown multiple times and yeah, just ran through it in 40 minutes or so on one attempt... it doesn't hurt that the West division players allowed for me to possibly put together my best draft of players... that All-Star Gallo Gold card and the Silver Live Series Haniger both with multiple walkoffs... also kept Team Captain Altuve and Charisma Pena at 1-2 in the lineup all the way through not to mention picking up JD Martinez card from time with Arizona and Charisma Juan Soto... man that team was stacked!
One thing that changed the game for me was in addition to not swinging at balls out of the strikezone, sometimes you have to take a strike if the pitch isn't going in a spot where you can really get a good swing on it.
Patience and situational awareness will win you these Showdowns for sure!

One other thing about Showdown... I haven't checked the actual number but Showdown does return stubs to you... not sure what the plus/minus is in regards to entry fee vs stubs you win in the mode but getting a large number of program points for it doesn't hurt either.

Why are you doing it multiple times? I thought it was a 'one and done' for the TA points?

One and done to complete it... if you fail you have to start over from the beginning... maybe I could've worded it differently.

Veteran my left you know what. I'm a below average hitter that no matter what...sorry...can't "get good". That [censored] aint veteran. got all the TA showdowns done and can't get past the second or third one here. I give up.

They are free cards. If you want them go earn them. It’s on Vet it literally took me 20-25 mins to complete. Sorry if I don’t want the card so won’t get them. Play the game how you want. Avoid the show downs just don’t complain you can’t get the cards
-
Showdowns that are required seem to be extremely easy, provided you don't skip to the final round, if you pick guys that hit right-handed hitters for power and select perks that increase exit velocity while losing. Then just sit there and wait for a pitch up in the zone.
-
When it comes to showdowns I would hope, as I always hope, that SDS is tracking stats.
How many players attempt it?
How many complete it?
The average number of tries to complete it.
What percentage of players did it on the first try. They can then use those stats compared to their expectations for the showdown and decide how to handle future Showdowns. My guess is that those kind of stats are what has led to Showdown getting easier over the last few years (and despite what some may think it has gotten easier) and their decision to just make them all boss battles
I know I would rather fail on the fourth boss after only 3 other moments than after 6 or 7 moments, like it used to be when they had non boss moments interspersed into the showdown.
