How many times do we have to tell SDS not to force their player base to play modes they hate! Showdown should never be required for a program period!
Let's be honest if they listened to their player base then there would be one group wanting to get rid of Showdowns, another group who wants to get rid of Moments, Yet another who wants to get rid of Conquest.
They will never please everyone.
don't forget the ones that don't like Play vs CPU, and the other side that despises playing online head to head modes... for me DD has come A LONG way from MLB 14 The Show and other iterations of DD that I wasn't even aware of, so I'll play the modes I like more and the ones I'm not so much a fan of a little less or not at all... Showdown will definitely be saved for the end but I'm still looking forward to the challenge

Showdowns are quick easy ways to get program points, they’re literally just on veteran smh
-
I don't mind Shodowns at all. Super easy and quick.

Depends on a players approach... I find I have difficulty with Showdown when I just want to get it over with and swing at every pitch and also when I "run myself out of innings" or in this case runs by getting caught stealing or doubled off a base... but when I focus at only swing at pitches I like and pick and choose when to steal/hit and run I have WAY BETTER results... also taking advantage of some of your default guys works wonders... and as a bonus knowing how to set your lineup/bench for the different situations especially if you already lost a previous Showdown.
-
I don’t recall anyone saying they can’t beat them, eventually, but they suck. Imo

Some great points here. If you rush it then it can definitely hurt you. I always have to tell myself to slow down and take my time because I'd much rather do it once the right way then have to repeat it again because I did something stupid.
-
I struggle with them. Dont think I've beaten a showdown yet tbh, a big FU not having a alternative to showdown

Especially when you fail after already passing a few of the stages... I've definitely had some "why did I deviate from the plan" facepalm moments in this mode.

Man i hate showdown but small ball is amazing. Between Cruz, Pena, Trout and Griffey Jr is stole my way to a first attempt win with 11 outs left and let Reggie Jackson do the rest.

ALMOST lost to Joe Kelly. Joe Morgan hits a double to score Justice from first.
I hate this so much…..two left.

That was the worst moment for me, i was down to one out with Cruz on 3rd, Reggie squeeked a single past the diving shortstop. Thought that might have been the end.

Kinda reminded me how good Joe Morgan cards are in the game. I think I need to buy it.

It's deffinetly my next get along with that Brian Wilson card that came out today. Say what you will about these 99 cards but it's fun being able to use a 99 Joe Morgan or Ken Griffey Jr this early.

My $.02...I can't stand Showdowns and I hate that SDS made them necessary to finish programs.

So easy!!

Although you are right in your assessment, I would argue that even though it says Veteran, the size of the PCI in feedback would indicate different. At least in the WBC Showdown it was way smaller than Veteran should have been. Sliders man....Sliders

I don't know I usually play on all-star/hall of fame and trying to hit Wilson's cutter feels like I am trying to hit a knuckleball certain pitches are crazy on low difficulties
-
Easy……liars. There is no way the cheese that showdowns throw at you makes it easy. More perfect/ perfect outs and warning track fly balls than in any other part of the game.
