Showdown

I HATE Showdown. They love tinkering with the Sliders in that mode, even more than in Moments. The Pitcher will throw multiple slow-mo moon balls out of the zone, before painting two laser fastballs on the black. LOL
-
Yeah, its brutal. At least make it fun to play or at minimum make it play at the supposed difficulty level. Showdown might be the thing to get me to stop playing.

How many times do we have to tell SDS not to force their player base to play modes they hate! Showdown should never be required for a program period!
It's not always required... you just have to be on the look out for what is in the program like Events for example and get all the points you can from that while you can... at the same time Showdown isn't as difficult as some make it out to be... the more I play it the more I start to enjoy that particular mode... my only issue with the mode is the entry fee as I believe they all have an entry fee besides Starter program (unless I just overlooked it).

I realized it’s not always required im saying it never should be.

Let's agree to disagree... again I'm not a fan of there being an entry fee (no matter the stub amount - unless you are guaranteed something like with BR giving you a Show Pack since the entry fee and the pack are both 1,500 stubs)... I feel like if Showdown is required it should have free entry and if it isn't required then you can put a stub fee price on it.

Let's be honest if they listened to their player base then there would be one group wanting to get rid of Showdowns, another group who wants to get rid of Moments, Yet another who wants to get rid of Conquest.
They will never please everyone.

I would choose to get rid of PXP missions

That might be my vote as well, but I am not going to say that I speak for the fan base.

don't forget the ones that don't like Play vs CPU, and the other side that despises playing online head to head modes... for me DD has come A LONG way from MLB 14 The Show and other iterations of DD that I wasn't even aware of, so I'll play the modes I like more and the ones I'm not so much a fan of a little less or not at all... Showdown will definitely be saved for the end but I'm still looking forward to the challenge

Showdowns are quick easy ways to get program points, they’re literally just on veteran smh
-
I don't mind Shodowns at all. Super easy and quick.

Depends on a players approach... I find I have difficulty with Showdown when I just want to get it over with and swing at every pitch and also when I "run myself out of innings" or in this case runs by getting caught stealing or doubled off a base... but when I focus at only swing at pitches I like and pick and choose when to steal/hit and run I have WAY BETTER results... also taking advantage of some of your default guys works wonders... and as a bonus knowing how to set your lineup/bench for the different situations especially if you already lost a previous Showdown.
-
I don’t recall anyone saying they can’t beat them, eventually, but they suck. Imo

Some great points here. If you rush it then it can definitely hurt you. I always have to tell myself to slow down and take my time because I'd much rather do it once the right way then have to repeat it again because I did something stupid.
-
I struggle with them. Dont think I've beaten a showdown yet tbh, a big FU not having a alternative to showdown

Especially when you fail after already passing a few of the stages... I've definitely had some "why did I deviate from the plan" facepalm moments in this mode.

Man i hate showdown but small ball is amazing. Between Cruz, Pena, Trout and Griffey Jr is stole my way to a first attempt win with 11 outs left and let Reggie Jackson do the rest.
