We'll either get a program tomorrow (day of) or maybe get a free Jackie in the Show Shop similar to the Derek Jeter... I'm guessing the 88 overall Jackie that we usually get that has Primary as 1B... either that or we simply have to play Negro Leagues Storylines to get him which I might do tomorrow regardless as I have yet to start on those.

They just post an update - https://theshow.com/news/mlb-the-show-23-jackie-robinson-day-celebration/

Jackie Robinson from Storylines will be Supercharged - the 90 OVR (Primary SS) Sanford Green Series card.

Looks like Blind_Bleeder beat me to it... will also have a pack for $4.99 but that's just a profile icon, banner and 3 bat skins but the proceeds go to the Jackie Robinson Foundation for those that want to donate (which I most likely will).

You also get 5,000 stubs which I was unaware of initially.

Doesn't say how long the card will be supercharged though.

If I had to venture a guess
1 Day at minimum (starting with todays update 4/14-4/15)
    2 Days (4/14-4/16)
    The whole weekend (4/14-4/17)
The standard 5 days for Supercharged (4/14-4/19)
The 7-day Supercharge that one card gets via vote on Mondays (4/14-4/21)
or they could Supercharge it for the duration of time that the JRF pack is in stores (4/14-4/29)

either way it definitely gives me incentive to play Storylines which I was going to do anyway (but was holding off on because I wanted to grind within Diamond Dynasty first)

also makes me wonder if the Roberto Clemente from Conquest will get Supercharged for Roberto Clemente Day although that is a long ways off (Sept 15th)

Be careful about that. Sony is keeping about 30% of the 5 bucks for "fees" (only about 3.49 actually goes to the JRF). That's a horrible overhead ratio for a charity. For comparison, the JRF's overhead ratio is about 6%. You're probably better off giving the 5 bucks directly to JRF and getting the tax deduction.

Sorry for the nitpick, but I hate charity scams disguised as profit-taking.

Not a scam if they already mentioned it... I believe it's for processing cost so I'm fine with it not to mention it's $4.99 for 5,000 stubs anyway... not sure what I'll do with the items but they are giving you something for the $5.

A processing cost for a platform they control, so the money just travels a different path on the way to their pocket. They could easily waive it and give the full proceeds to the charity.

If you want the stuff, then great. But if you're doing it to donate to the JRF, you might want to choose a more direct way.

I get what you are saying but yeah I do want the stuff... more so the stubs and with some of that going to the charity I feel like it's worth it for me... I don't foresee doing more than the $4.99 but I guess when I get paid next week I'll decide if I want to do more directly through the game... I guess it'll depend on if the stuff in the pack is able to be quicksold for more stubs which I'll check on tonight after I make the initial purchase.

Why is my Jackie Robinson wearing number 5? It seems like he would have 42 on his jersey. I honestly did not know before now that he had worn the number 5.

Yup... also wore #9 in Montreal before getting assigned his soon to be iconic #42 when he got to Brooklyn.

I understand/know that, but I was playing after midnight so it was actually Jackie Robinson day. I just expected to see him wearing his more familiar number. I did not make it clear, but is that the number that any version of him will wear this year? Could it change based on what uniform the team is wearing? I know that Reggie Jackson wears a different number based on which version of him you are using.

probably had to restart your console... not sure if it updated at 3pm eastern or 3am eastern but all players in DD wore #42.
