How to start a mini season season issue

Lost here. How do I get any mini season to start. I see the start label I. The upper right corner. And have pushed a to re start a season. But never leaves the select screen to start playing. Any help ? Thanks

Sometimes you just gotta hit the button to start it a bunch...just don't hold it obviously
