(Fart noise) what a terrible decision. All incentive is gone. The live series collection has taken a back seat to praying for microtransactions.
Edit: to the trolls, I've been here longer than you. Enjoy the game when it's dead come June.

That actually does not make any difference. Your opinion is your opinion and is not made any more or less valid by how long you have been here.
This is not my favorite version of the game either, The 99's don't bother me as much as the fact the fact that the grinding I am doing now to earn stubs to buy these 99 players that I want all becomes negated on July 7th.
I'll wake up on my birthday, July 8th, only to be greeted with the knowledge that I need to stop using 99 Edmonds, 99 Walker, 99 Wainwright and kiss goodbye to the quarter million in stubs those players cost me. It was basically a rental fee for three months. Then I can also toss out the WBC Arenado, Goldy, 0'Neill, and Nootbaar.

I'm still on the fence. I can't quite tell where the seasons will take us. It's probably an unpopular opinion, but I'm actually enjoying the gameplay this year, so that outweighs the "strangeness" of the program.

It's not unpopular - this has been a great start. Some people are just incapable of enjoying themselves.

that not it we enjoy the start of the season when you get to build a team withplayer on there real baseeball cards that have real stats not juiced 99 that are cool card art and a hof name or some minor leaguer with 0 mlb time but has 125 speed power and contact

I actually like the fact I’m not spending real money on stubs to complete the collection. I’m just playing in years past you kinda had to have the collection done to play with the meta cards.

I think that it’s fun to have all these 99s early. I think where they messed up is the Captain part. I don’t like how it will decrease attributes for having more players. I also think it should be like Madden and have team chems instead of captains so that way you can use different cards for different teams.

I agree, this is by far my favorite mode. My 12 year old son and I play together and have had a blast ( undefeated in about 10 games. Been fun)….

Franchise is really fun this year. Try it. Just resist the temptation to fleece the CPU on ridiculous trades.
The game plays really differently in franchise. Less laggy, more hit types, cool presentation.
I'm about 50/50 DD and franchise.
