Ohtani pinch hit

When playing in coop I’ve came across people being able to pinch hit Ohtani. But when I go to substitutes it he doesn’t pop up as an option. Anyone know why?

It’s the rp and only dh spot. And if you do it while he’s up to bat and a pitch has been thrown his pci will freeze the whole ab. You can do while in the field too.
