Controlling 2 Franchises Issue?

So if I have my friend(Mariners) and I(Athletics) play as two teams. Doing the Mid Season Draft and Rule 5 Draft won't let us switch back and forth between the teams during them. So it basically skips the Mariners picks or automatically sims them. No buttons seem to switch to the other team and it doesn't let you back out once your in the drafts.
Am I missing something or is this really a problem with having more than one team in this game on franchise?

Make sure draft is set to manual?
Also, make sure you have designated the right user settings.
When controlling more than one team, you have to click those 3 dots at the end of the setting tab and choose which user setting each team uses.
You might choose casual and your friend might want simulation, but you have your team set to the wrong one.
My advice is for each of you to change the settings the way you want them and then save them under your name. Then set your team to those settings.
