I am so frustrated by the number of people rage quitting when I play. I cant even get a full game in when I'm trying to grind innings and missions (especially pitching).

I've been pretty lucky so far this year. Maybe people just don't understand the whole "Mission" addition to RS this year.

Between this game and Madden, it seems like this is just the way it is. No one wants to try to adjust and comeback. It’s just quit and see if you can play someone worse.

So even with the cool down penalties people are still quitting early? I’m still grinding the TA offline and haven’t played RS yet this year so I haven’t experienced this yet. I played the event to get Mookie and there were a ton of quits but those are event games so I didn’t think anything of it.

I had a fun game against someone throwing Satchel Paige. He went up 5-0 early, and I just couldn't get anything going until the 7th with a 2 run HR. Went into the 9th down 5-2. He brought in Hader. Hit a 3 run HR to push it to extras. We both kept scoring until he finally walked me off in the 12th.

I got the XPs, plus I think I actually got credit for the 12 runs (I'm not sure). Last year, it was limited to 9, right? Anyway... it's so much easier to get through the WS reward path if you just play.

I think a lot of people who quit so early don’t know how this game works. It really only takes one inning of being locked in to change the outcome. A lot of times I might be trailing but I’m seeing pitches well. It’s just a matter of time before it all clicks and a little bit of luck.

Cool down timer might fix it. I have not seen a game quit on ranked co op in a while. But be careful what you wish for. Pausing , bunting or whatever they can to make your life miserable for a couple innings.

What sucks is the casual co op with real teams they quit all the time now.

It took until my most recent win, I think 8 or 9...to get my first save. It was also the first ranked seasons win that I fully completed. Between the pxp and cool down timer, I would think people would be more inclined to finish games versus quit and not get the pxp

I respectfully disagree. I don't know what it's like to play during the current year, as I got 20 and 21 well into the 21 cycle, but in in general if you are say a 300 level player and you are getting smashed by a 900 level player there is no way that is going to change the outcome. There is no version of that where a bottom of the barrel player is going to get enough RNG help from SDS to overcome a huge lead.

I’ve played 5 ranked games and a total of 9 innings. 5 of those innings came in one game. I usually expect this at the lower levels since most players don’t have the patience to come back from being down a run or two.

you are absolutely right - last year i specifically sat in the 400-600 range and i wound up 34-1 in RS - there is no RNG favoured any more to the opponent than to me the exception being i have played for many many years and know this game

The Cool Down Penalty only applies to Ranked Co-Op. It doesn't apply to anyone playing regular H2H online.

I’ve had many games where I get rocked in the first 3 innings and settle down and comeback to win. The 300 v 900 rank example is a little extreme as that is highly unlikely to happen unless it’s events or BR.

All I’m saying is if you really pay attention to what someone’s weaknesses are or patterns are, you can close a gap. But a lot of people give up before they can pick up those tendencies.

I don't disagree. I am not playing current year, so I have never had the opportunity to play others at my level, so I unfortunately get a lot of significant mismatches. I agree that in an even matchup quitting early is probably not a good idea.
