Why are there some games where I can hit everything, and others with Good swings all game and nothing but pop ups?

That’s what that hitting interface involves....because you don’t have control over where your swing path is, only the swing timing. The RNG takes over and makes the swing path decision for you. If you want more control over your hitting results you need to switch to zone or just accept the results you get from analog hitting.

I used to use that style of hitting. Switched to zone and never going back, I control where the zone is
