    can someone answer me why when you set up the lineups you need to set up a lineup with no designated hitter when both leagues us a designated hitter.

    I always turn off the DH rule and the extra innings runner because they both BLOW! That could very well be why those lineups are in. I can ignore the with DH lineups as it's off, just like you can ignore the no DH lineups in your game.

    It’s because there is an option when starting franchise for no DH.

    You can still play without the DH. Some people play with custom rosters from other eras and might wish for pitchers to hit.

    Because the option is still available to play with the pitcers batting if you prefer the old style of play.
