I just lost my first game in championship series 1-0. Lost to Kluber (again).

My opponent got 4 hits, and scored his only run off of a homerun on a low/away curveball that he pulled with a early/squared swing over the wall.

I recorded 3 hits, with one of them being this hit from Soto. It should have been a fly out on the track due to where the ball was but his CFer misplayed the ball, resulting in it falling.

My question is this: what's the point of the perfect/perfect system if this was not a perfect/perfect fly ball? Or am I missing something? Regardless of the end result of the hit, why is this not a perfect/perfect?

Cause you can’t have perfect contact result if you’re timing was just “good”. Pretty sure if you’re timing would’ve been “perfect”, you woulda had a perfect/perfect flyball

I would agree, except on the sinker down the middle I hit it to almost dead center. Where would I have to hit if for it to be perfect timing?

I don't pay enough attention to where the ball really is when I get perfect/perfect but I would assume the ball has to hit the bat dead center.

Some pitches directly in the middle of the PCI result in good/okay, while the next can be slightly off center and result in Squared up or perfect. This is a mystery to all.
