I haven't played The Show in more than a month as I waited. That might be the longest I've gone without playing in 4-5 years (could be a sign of how content tailed off at the end of last year, too).

Funny, that's me too right now. I played 21 right up until the release of 22. I haven't played 22 since before the Tech Test.

There are 2 big differences for me in 21 and 22.

21-has Team Affinity and loads of content and it was my first season so naturally it was fun.

22- I didn’t need to collect Alomar. Just kidding. I swear that is the last time I’ll make the Alomar joke.

In all honesty, 22 content wise has some solid advantages - Extreme was fun, Monthly programs were more involved and enjoyable (IMO). Mini Seasons is the start of something great, can’t wait to see what they’ve added.

But I still give the nod to 21.

Monthly programs were much much worse this year than before

The pxp grind was mind breaking at some point

This morning, my wife, who I love very much, said "I'm heading to visit my girlfriend in Denver. Can you give me a ride to the airport?"

I said, "Sure. When do I drop you off and when do I pick you up?"

She said, "Heading out Thursday night, the 23rd at 7:00 p.m. and coming back Tuesday the 28th".

    I said...

I get that it took longer and felt like a grind. But the main thing I enjoy doing is building a roster, trying new cards and playing actual games, doing missions with those players. It’s why I love TA and why I enjoyed the monthly programs more this year.

I agree they should have made the hitter XP grind easier.

I'm excited for 23'. I get it the people that cry about RTTS and wanting it to be something more, they are offline folks, i get it. I used to be offline all the time but i thought in the end it was pointless. For me RTTS is a means to an end. I want to get done quick to use my CAP in DD. I'm excited about Story lines, as my CAP has been Josh Gibson and my team name "Barnstormers" i'm all in on the negro leagues, so that's cool. The Sets and Seasons looks interesting, a new rinkle to keep things fresh. I like all the changes and can't wait for the 24th!

Hey Hey. I downloaded 20 again on my PS5 and noticed I had a lot of Team Affinity that I didn't finish that year so fun fun. I have also been playing the Run it Back Map and believe it or not have already made close to 200K in stubs selling those diamonds. People are still playing 20 to my surprise.

That's what turned me on to DD in 20 in the first place. Loved that program.

My biggest issue with that pxp grind for the monthly programs was that by the time i finished them, a new one was out and i didnt have any use for the "old cards" other than grinding the pxp to unlock new ones lol.

I personally think what they should do to ease up on that pxp grind would be to give us points for fielding. Even 1 point for an assist and 2-3 points for a putout.

I'll buy it as I always do but but I am not overly hyped. Nothing in their feature premieres has made me overly excited. I was fine with the main programs last year but I hated the drawn out POTM programs to the point where I stopped doing them. I am not 100% sold on Sets and how they explained them at all.

This is the most leery I have been about the game in a long time.

This is one of my biggest problems. This is not the only game I play so i don't invest nearly the hours that others do, although it is my most played game every year.

I gave up on the monthly programs last year because they were too drawn out. I am not sure that I ever did a City Connect program. This constant requirement to swap out players you want to play with in favor those you don't care about is why, once again I never even got a player to P5 last year.
