His cards were so fun to use. Elite defense and slaps in the gaps for doubles and triples galore, from both sides of the plate. Ah I miss that guy.

    125's across the board?
I'll always be a little baffled by the godlike affection he gets.
Great player who put up the hits, but I don't know if he's even Top 10 All-time overall.
    Ozzie
    Ripken
    Larkin
    Honus
    Banks
    Yount
    A Roid

I'll give him this-- 125 clutch, no doubt.
And upon further review, Top 10 indeed.

I think his card will rake because he's this years poster boy (don't give me Chisolm. He's done absolutely nothing to warrant being on the cover of anything)

Not a Jeter fan at all, but his numbers are easily better than Ozzie, Yount and even Larkin.

I think we don't give Jeter enough credit, and I'm in the overrated camp on him. I think of it a little like Scott Rolen, these were clean guys in an era where everybody was juicing. You can say he sucks at fielding (he does), but I think he should get a lot of credit for playing the right way.

Jeter is like Brady, both great players who won a lot and beat everyone’s teams, so people will always rip on them… I’m not a Yankees fan, but the man held down the shortstop position in one of the hardest places to play and won championships, he deserves credit.

maybe you should stop calling cards based on career stats or even years. That is not the case in the game at all right now

    E.g.

    • Elvis Andrus got a 99 (wtf)
    • We have no-hitter-cards, so the stats are based on 1 game
    • JDs Card this year is based on a 4 HR-game (he is a good hitter, do not get me wrong, but that?!?)
    • Look at Ozzie Smith‘s 99 and power vs LHP
    • …

    Conclusion:
They can do everything they want to make 1 single card (really) good. Jeter could have a 1999 card (where he was extremely awesome with a .989 OPS) with gold fielding and that could be okay. Maybe do not base it on reputation, career stats or something else. These comparisons imo only make arguments that lead to nothing.
BUT: Mays should have an awesome 23 card, for sure 🙂

Simply put in the DD mode.

Jeters stats in game should liik alot like The Reward Jackie we got from collecting the ASG cards.

    Comparing
    1949 Jackie to 1999 Jeter

    Ops both around .960

    Average both around .345

    Jeter more homers and K’s.

So Jeter can bat 2nd for me like Jackie did for 3/4 of the year with his 125/125 contact.

Jeter should have vision lower than Jackie with Power around 110 v Left and 95 v Right
