Finally made World Series!!

Geez it’s been a grind. I’ve bouncing back and forth between mid-700s and mid 800’s for basically the entire year. I’m someone who usually grinds everything in this game, complete every program, BR, Events, collect every “Legend and FB, etc. Sometimes I let that get me too far away from Ranked. Ranked is it’s own animal in this game. I just personally can’t go back and forth between the slower pitch speeds and then adjust for Ranked. So the last couple of weeks I would sign on and just go immediately into Ranked. I noticed I got a lot more comfortable and consistent hitting on HOF this way. I had a lot of tough losses and a few disconnect/freeze off losses, but I was able to just keep grinding and accomplish the year long goal.

I mostly play at night. Today I got home from work early and knew I was ~4 wins away from WS so I figured I’d give it a shot. Started 3-0 on HOF vs all opponents in the 800s(first guy quit after he hit in the top of the 1st???).

Then game 4 I get a game on Legend. I asked for a Friendly and he denied. It was an absolutely miserable game. He hit a solo in the first with his CAP and I hit one with Boggs in the 4th. Went to the 11th and I hit a two-out pinch hit HR with MA Bo Bichette to go up 3-1. Wagner came on and gave up a two out RBI single to his pinch hitter Vlad Sr., but then blew a high fastball past Reynolds to close out the game.

In total we each had 4 hits. I struck out 23 times and he struck out 22(and he was ranked 955). Legend is not for me. I wish they would adjust it so you only had to play on HOF until you make WS. Once you get there you can play on Legend if you choose.

I made it for the first time this ranked season also. I got lucky and played a guy in the 730s for my WS game (at 896). He quit after I went up 6-0. I decided to play one game in Legend at Ranked Seasons and I was in such a zone that I continued to play well. Game lasted 2 1/2 inning after he quit when I was up 3-0 with no SO. Then I go and play Events on All-Star and I cant hit against commons lol. Crazy how you get used to the faster pitch speeds.
