Make sure you go through your LS Collection and QS off any Gold or Diamond duplicates.
I just did my Golds and a handful of Diamond (haven't looked since the last roster update) and I just made 1.2M.
And that doesn't include anything under a Gold or even jerseys and equipment.

Up to you but it's not worth exchanging Golds. Yes it gets you there faster; but eventually what ever card you get in the XO path will be worth less than what you 'paid'.
Ex: I think 84s are worth about 15000 in trade value. You need three, plus change, to get the 50K. That's about 5K.
74s are 995 (I think) so you would need 50 of them, plus change, to get 50K. That's 1250.
Does it take longer? Yes.
But in the long run you'll still make stubs.
Now if you're maxed out with stubs and don't care; then by all means, trade in your Golds.
No right way. No wrong way.

I'm going to exchange my 57 "Tool Box" diamonds. Yes, you only need 50k points and these guys are 100k, but I've got stubs to burn at this point in the cycle.
