Got Mantle, using him in events. 10 at bats all good swings only 1 for a hit lol. There’s always one card every year that no matter how good you are with him he’ll never get on base

I think that's mostly user. I'm not doing nearly as good with him as a lot of other cards either. 99.99% my fault.

I can't describe it as unlucky as much as there are players whose batting style doesn't match up well with me. For the 2020 version I am trying to work the Brandon Phillips program and have tried every one of them 6 times with ZERO hits. There are others I struggle with Aaron, Clemente and countless other non superstars with similar swings.
On the other hand I will say that for some reason on 2020 Wade Boggs signature series seems to be a swing that no matter how poorly I play, even online I do well with.

I mean when you are putting up 103+ exit velo swings what are you doing wrong that’s user??

Update on the Brandon Phillips. Challenge is hit one home run in one at bat. 2 out bottom of the 9th. Runner on first. Ball crushed, but hits top of the wall. Runner stops at second. Working as intended.

I only used Mantle in two BR runs. 10 Games. 18 ABs and a .222 avg. But I'm under the ball most of the time.
But as some said here, and in my thread about Mantle, it could be used error.
Also, like @darkblue1876_PSN mentioned some players I can't hit with at all. Mike Trout is one. Every year I do horrible with his card(s). I have a .259 avg with his FOTF and a .222 with his Live Series.
Which is why I think when I finally get the 100pts in the BR Program I may just pick him and sell him.

Mookie Betts. Cant hit with him this year and couldnt hit with him last year.
