Switching from PS5 to PS4
-
So... I'm traveling for work, and don't feel like packing up the gigantic PS5. I have a PS4 and played MLBTS on it for years until MLB 21. I updated the PS4, installed MLB 22, and wow... it's... terrible. Very slow, video is jerky, etc.
Are there any settings I should change to make it a little better? I can't remember if there's anything specific I should change.
If "that's just the way it is" is the answer, no worries.
Thanks!

It’s horrible on the ps4. The frame rate is so bad. But. The frame rate is so bad it’s easier to hit 102mph.
I play on both. Ps5 is just a nicer experience.

It's funny you mentioned that it's easier to hit 102. I think it's true. But still... Sooooo choppy compared to PS5.

Is it the regular PS4 or the PS4 Pro?

Unfortunately the game is just not optimized to run well by SDS on last gen you can try the lowest resolution but I doubt that will make a big difference

You could also try God of War that game will run at a solid 30 FPS on original and slim PS4's

Good idea. I tried it on the lowest resolution and.... ick. I'll just bring my Super NES and break out my Baseball Stars cartridge.

Get a Switch, and play on that. It’s more compact, and very smooth. The graphics aren’t as nice, as would be expected, but it gets the job done. I bought the controller too…it’s easier to wrap my fingers around than that thin casing.

You know, I actually have a Switch that's sitting in a closet. The only time I bring it out is when my kids are come home. I never bothered to link it to my MLBTS account. I'll try that - thanks!

So... I'm using my terrible hotel internet, playing mainly CQ games and moments on the ol' PS4. The video is pretty choppy. And... I'm killing it. I'm early on pitches. My PCI placement is better.
Huh.

Get unlimited data on your phone and use it as a hot spot. It's not only more secure, but the internet will be better.
