Those of you who have been on the forums for years might recall several years ago I made a couple of posts about how they did Stan Musial dirty with just 47 speed. One of the posts had a TON of comments as the community went back and forth about why 47 speed was or wasn’t appropriate.

If you didn’t know, Musial was a triples g-d in real life. Seriously. But with 47 speed he could never hit a triple in The Show. I ranted on and on, and provided all sorts of data that accounted for size of ballparks, etc. I even talked stolen bases and caught stealing percentages. No way was 47 appropriate. Admittedly, I raged at the injustice! Lol

This year, Musial has 63 speed, which of course can be paralleled to 68.

Thank you, SDS. Stan The Man deserved better than 47. You got this right (although 70-75 would be better. Haha)

I think at least high 80s would be more appropriate.

    I wouldn’t mind that, either.

I still very much stand by the fact that his triples are due to the stadiums he played in. Musial had almost 50 less career steals than Babe Ruth and around 40 less than Pujols

I love Stan the Man but would have to agree.
Playing half of your games in Sportman Park defienly inflated doubles and triples. Of course it probably kept HR totals down too so it is kind of a trade off.
