Why Are Prices Dropping?

I'm not really well-versed in the ups and downs of the community market. Some cards I seemed to have bought and got good deals on, others I buy them at what seems to be a good price, and then they go way down over the next few days. What's triggering the sudden drop in prices now on virtually all cards? Does anyone have experience or insight into why things drop or rise when they do? One assumption might be that most people who have tried to collect for the Rollins card have done so and are not fighting to get other collections finished to hit that mark. But that seems like a bit of a reach to me. Thoughts?

The event gives a ton of rewind packs and the new conquest is also spitting out packs. Plus with double xp more people are progressing in the LOTF program and selling the cards from the packs.

Exactly this. I was waiting for this to finish buying players for Rollins. Saved me a bunch.
