I just want three event wins to get Carlos Santana for my M’s theme team.
Could you goons stop throwing high sliders with Tim Hill?
I don’t mind losing to a better player, but if you guys are so good, why are you afraid to pitch like a normal person?

Hear me out, they might be playing so that you don't get those three wins, because they probably want to win.

Slide-step sliders?
These events are supposed to be fun imo. I just think it can be discouraging for newer players to face this kind of stuff, which means only the tryhards end up playing.
To me, that is a loss for everyone.Am I wrong? I’ve yet to play anyone with a less than dominant RS record.

I'm not the greatest player. I wanted to get to 10 wins in this event for 2 Rewind packs and 20 Moonshot program points. I got there, but it was painful.
I don't remember having a losing record in any event this year, but on this one, I was 10-16. It was painful. Like you said, most of my opponents had insane RS records (and they backed it up).

Same. I’m at 23 wins, want to get to 30, and it’s been painful. I have at least 23 Ls. I’m not going to check. I don’t want to know the exact record lol

No sooner did I post this than I drew an opponent with a 4-23 RS record, so I guess there ARE exceptions.
Only one more W to go before I can retire from the moonshot!
Oh and if you were my 4-23 opposition, I thank you!

Well, it appears my OP was a bit hasty. Since then I have played a number of winnable games. Hats off to my opponent who robbed my home run with Julio. Now I’m in a freeze off. My third easily and I only started playing a week ago.
Didn’t they fix this stuff?

You should have stayed in MLB The [censored] 21… this version is shittier, it’s unreal how bad input gets rewarded more than good input. I’m only playing event games and I jam people only to give bloopers that will be followed by homeruns

It was getting harder to find a match. I gave in.
Also, the prospect of getting sweet Mariners postseason cards ultimately got me.I agree with you though. The gameplay might actually be even worse than 21.

I must be lucky. I haven't really faced any goons other than a few players here and there.

You are a pretty [censored] good player comparatively, don’t sell yourself short. We all have the down event.
While I hate moonshot events, this one I have enjoyed and haven’t lost a fake yet ( now that i said that, I will get waxed next game).

I’m not sure it’s so much Tim Hill as just how some people are pitching in this event. I understand that the idea is to get outs, but until very recently, throwing high sliders has not been a thing.
We are starting to see certain guys in the MLB doing this, tunneling with a high fastball m. Matt Brash comes to mind…
For me, in the event, if I am sitting offspeed, I’m not looking for a hanger at the top of the zone, but rather, middle of the plate.
I guess whatever works..
