Even though Griffey just had a 99, it was an easy 99 to get. A juiced 99 that is tough to get would make sense.

I agree with you. His swing is right up there with Bench, Schmidt and Ripken.

It's not going to be Dawson. I would bet my life savings on that. Wood with outlier and a cutter would be the best right handed pitcher in the game so I'm mot sure why the disappointment on him

Cano would be awesome!
He is done after this year most likely so might as well take advantage of him still being available. His HRD card from 20 was my permanent second baseman. Such a great swing!

I think that’d actually be amazing. If you want it, earn it. If you don’t, settle for the other 99.
If they put a 99 Jr, and it's the final one, behind a mode that not everyone will be able to complete would alienate a TON of players.

Just saw a picture on Twitter and it is absolutely Cano's swing. I guess the Boston reference is that they were big rivals. The Yankee logo with the bat and Uncle Sam hat is red white and blue.

I think a lot of people are ignoring the most important part of the teaser too:the color of the silhouette. It's identical to Babe's Takashi teaser color

Giambi is a good guess, he is due an upgrade, and the community wouldn’t burn down SDS headquarters if he was locked behind Extreme, its possible they go with Gehrig again as well.

I'll admit I'm stumped on this one. While I do think legends will get doubled up on 99s this year, I don't think its this soon for Jr. and unlikely at all for Papi. Cano? Yankee blue Silhouette and that would at least tie Fenway in a bit
And honestly the more I look at the picture it just straight up looks like Cano
