PCI dances around

Hey everybody,
Lately I had some issues with my PCI and was wondering if this is a hardware or software issue and if somebody had the same experience before. The thing is that my PCI is dancing around even if I do not touch the analog stick at all and I am also not able to hold it at one spot. It will always come back to the spot but is kind of flickering or dancing around it. I have the feeling that this is worse whenever the servers are crowded, but I am not 100% sure if that is the reason.
I am playing on a PS 5 and have two controllers, which are both half a year old, so I actually do not think that this is the reason, but who knows. Do you have any similar issues?

Stick drift. You tube it. You may be able to clean it out, dust and debri.

Does it do this on both controllers? I experienced this one one of the new controllers I got that came with the ps5 unit. Luckily for me it's still within one year warranty and I contacted Sony about shipping it back. Doing that this week.

Thanks guys. It is the same for both controllers, but I just played the latest Topps Now Moments and did not have any issues at all. As written above I feel it is not a hardware issue, although stick drifting seems to be a thing. I found a YouTube video in which one guy says the sticks are designed to last for 4 to 7 months, but I do not believe that. It is just strange and annoying

Even before I got my ps5, I heard of a drifting issue. Controllers are where they make their money as there's more margin than the actual units. I do go through 2 or 3 lol.

I sent mine back to Sony on Saturday and just got a new one in the mail now. I called Sony ahead of time and I had my receipt too and was within warranty. I'm shocked it arrived already

The PS5 Pro controller is supposed to have interchangeable stick caps, adjustable height for sticks, back paddles, and other various features when it finally arrives.
I've already been through a couple PS5 controllers due to stick drift and this after thoroughly cleaning them. Maybe it's bad luck, but mine started getting stick drift after about 4 or 5 months of use. Not a good ROI there.

They don't last that long. I have never thrown or abused a PS5 controller and I'm on my 6th one since last year. The X button quits working on swings and I get several check swings when I press the button to swing. Manager at GameStop basically told me they were trash. My last one was having a little stick drifting when the button was giving out but that's never been much of a problem for me.

My controller has had stick drift for a few years, I just deal with it. Im sure it costs me on some swings, and it makes me dizzy as heck when I play assassins creed. (it pulls left constantly and causes the screen to spin Lol)
Im gonna look up those fixes on YouTube now that y'all mention it
