I don’t care what people are complaining about with this 99 2nd Half Griffey card because he is simply killing it for me right now. Swing is tops, dingers vs lefty and righties, and card seems to at 200 on clutchness.

On what difficulty?

I’m batting a 380 with him after 30 AB so he rakes for me

He’s been raking for me as well. Like I said on a previous thread. I wouldn’t be surprised if somehow SDS threw a curve ball at us and skewed the numbers to make them seem worse than they actually are.

Griffey is so popular because of how good he was throughout his career; but, he also is known to have a swing that is one of the best in MLBTS and plays above his attributes.
Why would SDS put lower attributes on his card? Have you played with any of his 99s in past games?

It's pretty obvious by now that this is part 1 of a bigger program. I must admit I wouldn't have figured it out but after seeing posts on here and then finding articles online pointing out the clues, it makes perfect sense. Look at the rewards path...a random icon of the coach looking angry and a random stadium sound of "Nice Try Ramone" neither having anything to do with Griffey until you realize it's a troll Job.
Finally when you finish the program, it says 24% completed. There are definitely Easter eggs there.
The biggest clue to me is the massive over hype job, only to release a card they knew would cause hysteria and then they are completely silent.
It's Part 1. I bet we'll hear about part 2 very soon.

I will believe when I see it. If we do get another Griffey Jr. card that is a 99 (and I hope we do), I’m not sure we will see it soon. I am not ungrateful of getting a free Griffey card, I just don’t know why they did things the way they did. As I have stated before, I think it may have been done because of the negativity the community has shown toward them.
Though Andrew McCutchen has had a great career, I don’t think Griffey Jr. deserves to get lower hitting attributes than him on his best card. -

Bellinger hasn’t hit at all for 3 seasons now, but no one gets upset when he gets a 99. No one was upset when Mookie was a collection reward last year, but he is having a pretty similar career to McCutchen through this point in his career

I know you said it wasn’t toward me, but to be clear, I’m not upset at McCutchen’s card at all. I think it’s great he got a card like that. I am trying extremely hard to get it. I agree with you that it was a little ridiculous for people to get upset about McCutchen being a collection before they even got to see his attributes. As for Bellinger, I hope that he gets a 99 later in the year too. He has one of the better swings in the game in my opinion. He was the best NL position player before he stopped performing.
Anyway, I wasn’t putting down McCutchen. I believe I might have tried to say that in my post. I was just using his card because it has the best attributes in the game right now. -

Bro how did I not see this, now if this turns out what happens with part 2, 3 however many it's a troll job of the decade an I love it more.
That said I love when the community gets triggered over something so my opinion is skewed

I believe that we will get a better 99 too. I think I was just expressing my shock in how we got amped up about getting a 99 Griffey Jr with things such as “Grind 99 time for Jr.” and something like, Want to see Griffey Jr.’s attributes? (paraphrase). They gassed it up and gave us a 2nd half card with low contact and vision. I know it’s early in the year for his best card.

I definitely can't take credit. @the_dragon1912 posted something about it on here and then I found an article online which spells it out. I imagine this is what's happening.
