I think the Mods accidently banned themselves, they've been unusually quiet.
I won't say it so colorfully but yeah, from I've seen this program was a total troll job...bate and switch. I completely understand that this isn't the final Griffey. As soon as the said 2nd Half card, that out an end to that debate. But why provide false hype when you know this will be a letdown. How is that gonna keep people playing. I hear this program is 24 points. That's not a grind 99 that's a lunch break from work.
And obviously the attributes are just a reskim of a 93 Topps now card. I'll take all those Future Stars I've never heard of over this card.
I think we have to consider that MLB has a say in the content. The fact SR and JR show up in the FOD program then get a program and is a HL.
SDS could have presented it better for sure but nothing they said was false, the community excitement and expectations may have been to much
Oh I'm sure they have some say. And no I'm not crying false advertising. I actually don't mind at all that this isn't an end game card as A) I only play offline so basically any hitter with 80s or above are good B) it's only early August and this is the most sought after card in the game.
What I don't understand is why they are poking and prodding at their fan base. I mean, yes, the Twitter mob can be relentless. That's why I don't use Twitter. This was a troll Job plain and simple. Look no further than their post:
Do you want to see Griffey's attributes? And the 2 options were yes and yeeeeees. They know we're all waiting for some big reveal and then they drop a card far below several in the game already.
That would be like advertising a new legend. Posting: Are you ready for the huge reveal? And then presenting Khalil Greene.
They either knew they'd get roasted and are eating it up. Or they are just completely out of touch.
